Choosing a bandana
Sizing, reversibility and names — the things worth knowing before you pick a print.
What size does my dog need?
Measure the neck rather than guessing by breed — two dogs of the same breed are rarely the same size. Run a soft tape around the base of the neck where a collar would sit, then add about two fingers of slack so the bandana hangs rather than grips. Most designs come in Small, Medium and Large, and several add an X-Small for toy breeds and puppies; the sizes available are listed on each product.
What makes them reversible?
Both sides are printed, with a different design on each — so one bandana is two. There is no lining and no right way round: tie it with whichever print you want showing, and turn it over when you want the other. It is also the practical answer to a muddy walk, because the clean side is already there.
Can I put my dog's name on it?
On most designs, yes. Choose Gold or Rose gold under Personalization on the product page and type the name — it is pressed on in vinyl by hand, in capitals. Leave it set to None if you would rather have the print on its own.
